Honesty, feeling the pressure and more.

As the title says, I plan to shed some honest truths in this blog post.
Recently, I've had a few readers message me and ask when Disturbed rewrites will be ready, either because they're waiting for them to be done to start the series, or because they're excited to know what happens next.
Yes, messages like this make me super happy because it means people are excited to read my words, but there is also a side that most authors don't talk about, and that is that these words lead to a lot of pressure and anxiety.
Each time, I've responded with the timeframe I believed to be the truth at the time. It was always my plan to have them all completed by February. Then by the end of May.
And now we're reaching the end of April and it is still not done, which means it isn't ready for edits, which means I won't be releasing it at the end of May.
The new editor date is June 26th, and I plan to keep this one. However, the cost of edits is something I have to take into consideration too, and the stress of these costs eats into my brain space and only leads to me feeling the pressure even more.
Because of the above, I've made the tough decision to take as long as I need on Disturbed. Unlike the previous two books in the series, this book needs an entire rewrite as the story and characters have changed so much in the other edits that I can no longer use what I already have.
I'm sorry if this upsets anybody.
However, I am planning to drop the chapters weekly on Ream if anybody would like to join me over there and follow along as I write.
Ream is a new platform similar to Patreon, but is made by authors for authors.
Every penny helps me with the costs of running my author business, and I hope that by sharing the chapters as I write, I won't feel the pressure to deliver a book fast the way I currently do.
I would rather put out a quality product than one I've rushed through to appease people.
