The Perfect Trifecta

Layla grabbed my hand and dragged me off to the side so we wouldn’t get caught up in the crowd that was flooding out of the maze behind us.

‘That was a lot scarier than I thought it’d be,’ she said with a wide smile, causing two small dimples to appear on her cheeks. Every time those dimples appeared, a sharp stab of emotion travelled through me. Her smile brightened her entire face. Made her blue eyes sparkle and stand out on her face like the brightest of oceans.

We’d been dating for over a month, and the entire time, I couldn’t believe my luck. She was funny, smart, and beautiful. The perfect trifecta.

Until next time,
